The plant production value in Kırşehir has increased since 2014 and reached 1,064,729 TRY as of the end of 2018.
The production amounts of the most produced agricultural products in the last five years in the province has been as follows.
The following data are presented by the Agricultural Investor Advisory Office of the abolished Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock as reasons for investing in agriculture in Kırşehir.
- Putting into use of 50,000 da area to irrigation in Sıdıklı Region of the province and the region being suitable for growing vegetable,
- Kaman District is suitable for walnut production and Kaman walnut grown in this region has an important role in agricultural production,
- Kılıçözü Basin, known as Irmak Township, is suitable for irrigated farming and its soil is fertile,
- Boztepe District has an important potential in terms of livestock and has wider pasture areas,
- In Kaman District, Hirfanlı Dam Lake is quite suitable for fishery,
- There are areas suitable for good agricultural practices and organic farming in fruit growing in the province,
- The cereal farming areas of the province are suitable for plowless farming in terms of climate conditions, and this model is still being successfully applied around Seyfe Lake, where ÇATAK Project is implemented.
- Especially Mucur and Çiçekdağı Districts are suitable for sugar beet growing and the potential is quite sufficient,
- The transportation opportunities in the province are very developed, and it is close to two big cities, Ankara and Kayseri,
- The fruit and vegetable production of the province is sufficient for cold storage and fruit and vegetable drying facilities.
